2023 Artist Of The Year

What a day is to God, it is a thousand years to man. From the idea hidden in this statement the view emerges that the calendar year is meant for humans. Gods assess, review and categorise the period and the time which humans have lived through. People like painters, poets, dancers, filmmakers, musicians, actors and many others use this time for the art of creation. But let´s remain on the topic of music, to which I devote my time. Hi! I´m a guitarist, Nico. 

An artist is a person who with their regularity, precision and resolution achieves goals which they have set. The world is their source as well as inspiration, from which they borrow their physical and spiritual element, which they process with their abilities and give back in the form of art.

I accept the Artist of the Year award from The Akademia with gratitude. I have never dreamt of such an accomplishment in my life, and I am experiencing a little shock right now. To be the most successful among the successful is deserved only by the best. With this sentiment I also embrace the feeling of humility with which I bow before you. 

I continue working on my new album despite the unfavourable circumstances. I hope and genuinely believe that its release will take place this year. So, there is something to look forward to.

I also want to express my gratitude to those who make my musical ideas come to life, those who appreciate them as well as those who award them. Once again, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all.

Hall Of Fame

Even as a small boy, I admired the guitar playing of my older peers. Imitating the world's great guitar players, studying their guitar playing technique, I have learnt and improved. Over time, I created my own style and repertoire that represents me today. 

My music brings new dimensions to guitar instruments along with my visionary artistry and creative mix of musical possibilities. This is the originality, timelessness and uniqueness of this music.

I will now quote others: NICO's music is dynamic and flits between different emotions. His music explores human experiences and redefines them by pushing the boundaries of new progressions and instrumentals. I accept the nomination and will be honored to be inducted into The Akademia Hall of Fame.

2022 Outstanding Legacy Award

The humanity is evolving, advancing, and is ever closer to new discoveries. From the theoretical plane, with time, we arrive at practical knowledge, which gives us the needed certainties and helps us make decisions. Through compressing, accelerating and heating the matter we acquire the necessary energy. On the contrary, through cooling, deceleration and distancing the matter particles we arrive closer to the quantum realm. It is in the symbiosis of these two areas that we can seek the notional timelessness and shape our reality. 

The music I create is both timeless and extraordinary. It's based on old, time-tested progressions, innovations and modern technologies. It contains affection, aggression, joy, grief, imagination, life, and even death. I enjoy pushing limits in the art and discovering new progressions and I thank The Akademia for preserving this legacy for future generations. 

There are a number of challenges we have to accept. One of them is the rational attitude of every single one of us. Think about your worries for a moment please. Then make a click in the map of the world in the place where you're situated. You'll see how small and sometimes insignificant your worries actually are. Do not let them overgrow you and steal from you that which is the most precious. To be healthy is probably the greatest victory in the world and, in the near future, it'll also be a challenge for the people who leave the Earth's atmosphere for an extended period of time. Protect your own health and that of your loved ones. Take it easy.

The Akademia 2021 Rising Star Award

Hi, I'm Nico. 

Space is infinite. It is full of mysteries and paradoxes. If we try to touch its end, we will most likely find out we are at its beginning. It is an unreachable dimension for human understanding. Therefore, man created the concept of time. Stars, the characteristics of which are also determined by the relative concept of time, are born in this ordered chaos.

I accept The Rising Star Award from The Akademia with a smile on my face because it reminds me of infinity and eternal cycle.

These past few years, we have been living in a hectic time full of change and new priorities. My music career had to adapt as well, conform to this new development and trend. Recently, I have also noticed more worries and personal responsibility. This has affected my freedom and mental well-being. Fortunately, in all this modern chaos, I haven´t lost my health and my desire for music and I have continued working on my new pieces. The result of this activity should be a musical album I am going to devote most of my time now.

I would like to thank everybody who has helped me and continues to help me in these difficult times. These people are supporting me and contributing to this stellar rise of mine. Thank you all again and I wish you a lot of success.

The Akademia Gala Event 2020

Hi, I'm Nico.

There's a lot of ways how to express oneself and how to develop towards a certain goal. Since time immemorial, the human nature has made us act verbally or non-verbally. We choose good or we choose evil. It's to this nature that a human being, knowingly or not, dedicates his or her rich creation. That's why I've decided to share with you my vision in music for which I've been nominated for the Artist Vision Award.

You know how they say, "He's got a talent." But today I know that talent must be accompanied by a great deal of effort, practice, learning, which then develop into a skill, an ability to connect the meanings that have been passed on to us genetically. This nomination, this positive appraisal of my talent, has pleasantly surprised me and I'm grateful to the Akademia's executive team for this recognition.

Impulses and reactions coming from the experts help me push forward and it's also thanks to them that I've recently started working on my new album. So far I've finished an accompanying composition that will be released as a single this year. Of course, I'm also working on a new video clip, so there's a lot to be excited about.

I'd again like to thank everyone who's helped me and is helping me in my music career.

First of all, I'd like to thank all of you, to express the incredible joy and happiness which I'm feeling thanks to you. I know that the Artist of the Year award doesn't go to just anybody and just anywhere. For me, this award from the Akademia is the most valuable acknowledgement that I've received in my music career to date. I appreciate it so much and I'll spread the word about its importance.
Further I'd like to thank my family, friends, my acquaintances, who've believed in me and supported me on my way.
